A nice 4 km bird walk that takes you through three different types of habitats.
This walk runs along the Pieterbuurdermaar and starts at a small grove, with a chance of seeing pinoža, veliki kormoran, rumeni vrtnik and mala uharica. Species of tits and finches, and grivar, kos and veliki detel are always present. Various types of seagulls can be seen at the Seal Center (Zeehondencentrum). Just outside the village, next to the waterfront you can observe bičja trstnica and srpična trstnica. navadna čigra and kanja often fly over, with prepelica, školjkarica and rumena pastirica often in the meadows.

Nederlands: De wandeling Buitengebied Pieterburen loopt langs de Pieterbuurdermaar en begint bij een kleine bosschage, met kans op pinoža, veliki kormoran, rumeni vrtnik en mala uharica. Soorten mezen en vinken zijn net als de grivar, kos en veliki detel altijd aanwezig. Bij het Zeehondencentrum zijn er verschillende soorten meeuwen te zien. Even buiten het dorp zit er naast de waterkant bičja trstnica en srpična trstnica. navadna čigra en kanja vliegen over, met vaak prepelica, školjkarica en rumena pastirica in de weilanden.
There is a parking space near the former dining ship 't Appeltje. You can also park at the Seal Center. Click on the P in the map for directions.
