Observation point on the Atlantic Ocean where you can find the northernmost colony of penguins in the world.
On his expeditions along the coast of Africa in search of a passage to the Indies, the Portuguese Bartolomeus Dias left a number of memorials behind. One of these, a crucifix, was erected on 25 July 1488 not far from present-day Lüderitz in Namibia on a spit of land now called Diaz Point. The area has easy access and gives the opportunity to see many species of seabirds, shorebirds and African Penguin.
Easy to reach from the city of Lüderitz. Follow the signs to the brackish areas where it is possible to make many sightings.
