Rio Fiume valley is one of the sites with the higher biodiversity in the Tolfa hills.
In Rio Fiume valley in the Monti della Tolfa (Tolfa hills) the great variety of plants and animals supports many breeding birds, such as rjavi škarnik, črni škarnik, Sršenar, kačar, Prlivka, podhujka, rjavi srakoper and rjavoglavi srakoper.
The Rio Fiume valley is crossed by the provincial road connecting the A12 highway ("Santa Severa - Santa Marinella" exit) to the village of Tolfa. An easy to walk path leads from the road through coppice woods to open grasslands. Click on the P in the map for directions.
