Description
The small Rif wetland is located in the area of Melrakkaslétta on the Snaefellsnes peninsula in northwest Iceland. It is a breeding area for many birds and has an ideal location between the coast and the mountains. Among the birds you can encounter are rdečegrli slapnik, zlatouhi ponirek, gaga, ozkokljuni liskonožec, srednji žagar, grivasta gos, labod pevec, polarna čigra, komatni deževnik, črnorepi kljunač, rdečenogi martinec, bodičasta govnačka, polarni galeb and ledni galeb.

Rif wetland is located at the end of the Snaefellsnes peninsula in northwest Iceland. You can park at the bird hide. Click on the P in the map for directions.
