Nagy-tó means Big Lake. In this large wetland next to the village of Tiszaalpár there is a big heron nesting colony in the willows-jungle around the Big Lake. Plenty of kvakač, kravja čaplja, mala bela caplja, velika bela čaplja, siva čaplja, rjava čaplja, žličarka and čopasta čaplja nest in the area. But there are many other interesting birds to see like črnoglavi galeb, rjavovrati ponirek, mali žagar, belorepec and rdečegrla cipa.
