Description
Just north of Sigri, several irrigated fields and groves are located. These areas can be packed with migrants during spring migration; especially during fall conditions. The groves can be packed with flycatchers, redstarts, warblers, buntings, kobilar and chats. The wires and fences are worth checking for migrating shrikes, like rjavoglavi srakoper and črnočeli srakoper. Harriers tend to hunt above the surrounding fields, like močvirski lunj. In winter, vodomec can be seen next to the shoreline.
Migration can be seen during mostly the morning, and large flocks of raptors, falcons, storks, herons, swifts and bee-eaters can be seen flying overhead.
Locally, južna postovka breeds and tend to forage in these fields too. Pairs are often mixed with other falcons, like rdečenoga postovka.
