Description
Just east of the Polichnitos saltpans, the Almyropotamos river is located and runs towards the Gulf of Kalloni. You can search the river for migrating herons, egrets, storks, crakes and waders, like mala tukalica, črna štorklja and Temminckov prodnik. The surrounding fields are good for flocks of wagtails, pipits and larks, like rjava cipa, and the fences in the area are worth a check for chats and shrikes.
