Rappenwört is often referred to as an island, as it is almost completey surrounded by water: a meander cutoff where the Rhine used to flow and the current, straightened course of the river. In addition to interesting birding habitats, there is also an outdoor swimming pool, a nature information centre and various canoeing clubs and restaurants. Access
The Rappenwört area is easy to access (except at times of extremely high river levels). There are various large car parks and parking bays and there is also a tram stop next to the swimming pool.
