Naturschutzgebiet Mönchbruch is characterised by its diverse habitat of old oaks, wet meadows, alder woodland and water ditches. The area has good populations of prosnik and srednji detel. Other species that can be observed here are labod grbec, siva gos, vijeglavka, kozica, poljski škrjanec , črna žolna, pivka, rjavi srakoper, vodomec, brglez,črni škarnik, Sršenar and škrjančar.

The best way to reach the nature reserve Mönchbruch is via the main road 486 (B 486) and park at Jagdschloß Mönchbruch (Mönchbruch hunting castle). Click on the P in the map for directions. The circular walk indicated on the map is about 3,5 km.
