A small and wild park and two adjacent cemeteries located near the city center of Berlin.
Leisepark was the former St. Marien-St. Nicolai cemetery. It was transformed into a wild, overgrown park. But also its former use as a cemetery was preserved. For example, parts of graves as well as individual intact graves have been left here. You can also visit the two adjacent cemeteries. The park is particularly busy during the day. It's best to come early. Among the birds you can see are siva vrana, dolgorepka, rdečeglavi kraljiček, zelena žolna, veliki detel, kos, kragulj, kratkoprsti plezalček, grivar, črna vrana, plavček and velika sinica.
The Leisepark is located in a quiet side street off Prenzlauer Allee in the district of Prenzlauer Berg. Friedhof (Cemetery) entrance from "Am Friedrichshain". Leisepark entrance from "Heinrich Roller Str". Zweiter Friedhof (Second cemetery) entrance from "Prenzlauer Allee, Ecke Mollstr."
