Description
The Leipheimer Moos is a beautiful moorland with wide areas for rjavi lunj as well as the rare kosec, rumena pastirica, kobiličar and migratory travniška cipa. In the reed areas north of the border ditch modra taščica likes to sing, in the cattle pastures prosnik and along the boardwalk circuit (the boardwalk itself is unfortunately closed) vijeglavka, slavec, kozica, priba, rjava penica, kukavica, fazan and črna žolna can be heard or seen.
Also worth a visit in autumn/winter when there are pepelasti lunj, veliki srakoper, močvirska uharica, beločela gos and žerjav.
