Description
The typical species of a city can be seen at the Decksteiner Weiher in summer. On the lake kanadska gos, nilska gos, čopasti ponirek and mlakarica can be seen. Around the lake you can observe zelena žolna, lišček, srednji detel and much more. In winter, however, more rare duck species such as čopasta črnica, sivka, konopnica and with a bit of luck also kostanjevka can be found.

Decksteiner Weiher is easy to reach by bike from Cologne (Köln). You can also get there easily by car. Click on a P in the map for directions to a parking. A circular walk around the lake is about 5 km.
