The Auersmacher field is home to the highest density of poljski škrjanec in the entire Saarland. It is a large field with many information boards and hiking trails and cyclists, walkers and birders share the area. Other birds you can expect are navadna postovka, rjavi škarnik, kanja, črni škarnik and zelena žolna.
