The Anklamer Stadtbruch lies in the northeast of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. It is a wide moor landscape in the transition between land and sea.
The 1,500 hectare wilderness area of Anklamer Stadtbruch is home to numerous nice species such as belorepec, žerjav, škrlatec, belolična čigra, rečni cvrčalec and bobnarica. In summer you can still find large numbers of žerjav. Also all kinds of raptors are common like rjavi škarnik, ribji orel, črni škarnik, rjavi lunj and škrjančar.
Parking in Bugewitz (click on the P on the map to get directions). The best way to explore the area from there is by bicycle. The circular route that is shown on the map is about 10,5 km.
Anklamer Stadtbruch is also home to a big population of beavers and otters. It also has the highest density of belorepec in Germany.
