Description
You will reach the monument on your drive from Tblisi to Kazbegi, a few kilometers before the Jvari pass. It is a tourist attraction with car park and people selling food and memorabilia. There is a large observation platform and a smaller one near the car park. Look up for migrating birds like Sršenar, kratkonogi skobec, črni škarnik or local planinski orel, planinski hudournik or krokar. On the rocks below you can see species like planinska vrana, planinska kavka, planinska pevka, skalni plezalček and komatar. Check the grassland for vriskarica and rdečečeli grilček.
