Description

Omaha Beach is a very beautiful beach in Normandy. The beach was one of the invasion beaches during D-Day in World War II. Two thirds of the seaborne troops from the United States on D-Day were launched here.

Today the beach is a nice place for birding. You can observe many gulls and other birds. For example peščenec, rečni galeb, veliki galeb, kričava cigra, brškinka, crna raca and strmoglavec. Behind the beach you can find marshes and ponds.
