Le Champ Virlois is interesting for several reedbed species, including modra taščica, rakar, bičja trstnica, čapljica, Mokož and rjavi lunj. plašica has been spotted in stopover and crakes are possible.
In the surrounding forests kalin, škrjančar, severni kovaček and črni škarnik are quite easy to see. Prlivka and zvonec can be found at the surrounding gravel pits.
