Description
The area around Ille-sur-Tête has a very varied landscape with the river Têt running in the middle and making a huge canyon. There is also forest, dry hills and agricultural land. In the forest you can find woodpeckers like vijeglavka, zelena žolna (subspecies sharpei) and veliki detel. In the surrounding dry mediteranean hills you can find species like žametna penica, čopasta kukavica, čopasti škrjanec and krokar. This area can also be very good for spring migration with raptors like kačar, črni škarnik and močvirski lunj.
The area itself is very beautiful with the nearby Orgues and can offer shade when it is too hot in the summer.
