In my opinion, Etang du Charnier is the best spot for afriška sultanka in the Camargue, one time I saw 16 of them. It is also a very nice spot for mala čigra, črnonoga čigra and navadna čigra. With much luck, you can spot čapljica. It is also a very good spot for mala bela caplja. In the whole area, you can see up to 100 on one day. The afriška sultanka likes small branches of reeds, but also sits in reeds or on muddy areas next to some reeds.

Access
I would suggest to go by car, because the area is located on a busy road with cars going up to 100km/h. But there are also small parking gapes where you can watch the birds.
