A large pond with large reef area, surrounded by meadows and woodland, deciduous trees. The place is a little nature reserve with trail and hide.
Etang David is a place filled with bush birds, especially in springtime: črnoglavka, slavec, divja grlica are easy to find, as well as vodomec and tatarska žvižgavka on the pond. Woodpeckers can be found on deciduous trees: veliki detel, mali detel, zelena žolna, črna žolna.
The place is also a nesting area for herons: kvakač, siva čaplja, kravja čaplja can be spotted from the pond side.
Some raptors: črni škarnik, škrjančar and with chance rjavi škarnik and kačar are easy to spot hunting around.
Unusual birds like plašica are possible during a walk across this picturesque little place.
From St Just St Rambert Follow the direction "Chambles". After the lights, turn right to the signposted road "Etang David", unitl the; car park. The entrance of the site is across the raos along the canal
