Mouth of the River Tárcoles

The Rio Grande de Tárcoles is a river of 111 kilometers long. Many birds can be observed in the estuary area. Worth is also seeing the crocodile bridge.

Description

The mouth of the river Tárcoles is a very quiet estuary. Many birds are looking for food here. Be sure to plan a guided trip on the river (see the links to operators below), as the tour guides know the area very well. Scarlet Macaw are also found near the village of Tarcoles. The scarlet macaw is a species of parrot from the genus of the actual macaws. It is one of the largest parrots in the world. In the area I saw the following birds: Turquoise-browed Motmot, Common Black Hawk, Brown Pelican, Royal Tern, Mangrove Swallow, Scarlet Macaw, Willet and Rufous-naped Wren.
