Pompstation Meerbeek is pretty good for autumn migration watching because it is the hightest point (90m) in the area. Birds often fly lower because they have to cross the plateau. Birds that are often seen are poljski škrjanec, kmečka lastovka and veliki kormoran. But rarer species have also been seen in the years, like rjava cipa, dular and stepski lunj. The local birds include fazan, kanja, rumeni strnad, navadna postovka and prosnik.
