Description
The Handzame Broeken area consists of a extensive agricultural area, being mainly pastures, with scattered trees, bushes and willow tree lanes. The Kreekebeek river flows through the area and is a great spot for waterfowl, like kreheljc, žvižgavka and žličarica. The surrounding pastures are good for flocks of priba. In winter, these pastures are part of the hunting grounds for pepelasti lunj. In winter, area is also good for labod pevec.
The scattered (willow) trees are great for observing čuk and duplar. The scattered bushes and fences are a great spot for breeding species, like prosnik and repaljščica.
