Description

The Thayatal is an impressive valley with steep cliffs and gentle meadows, natural forests and a many birds. From the Überstieg overlooking the Thaya valley some of the rarest and most impressive birds (belorepec, črna štorklja, škrjančar and sokol selec) in the National Park Thayatal area can be watched.

Access

This viewpoint is accessible from either the National park´s visitor centre by a 1.5 hour walk or from the Feste Kaja, an old castle ruin (40 min. walk). Click on the P on the map to go to the parking place of your choice.
