Birds that top the list in Thursden Valley are Snehuľa kapcavá, krkavec čierny and the laughing žlna zelená. One minute your on open barren moorland the next your in the woods. Among the other birds you can encounter are lastúrničiar strakatý, plamienka driemavá, sokol myšiar (pustovka), škovránok poľný, ľabtuška lúčna, potápač veľký, pŕhľaviar čiernohlavý, pinka obyčajná, hvizdák veľký, myšiarka močiarna and kuvik obyčajný.

Access
Thursden Valley is located northeast of Burnley. You can park near the Coldwell reservoirs. Click on the P in the map for directions, Or you can make the journey big and come from either Widdop or Hurstwood. Best to explore the area by foot. The circular walk indicated on the map is about 1,8 mile (3 km).
