The Coastal Road from Rame Head to the town of Seaton is in South East Cornwall.
This very long coastal road, along mainly high clifftops is South facing. Due to the length of this road, and many steep roads a car is a distinct advantage. There are many roadside car pull ins. The route passes a considerable amount of windblown tree and shrub areas (called brakes here), that are good for Spring/Autumn migrants and resident species. During South/SouthWest/South East winds Pelagic species get closer to shore here. During Autumn/Winter check the waters offshore for Divers/Grebes/Seaducks that are almost guaranteed depending on weather conditions.
The largest city is Plymouth to the East, to get to this area get the Torpoint Ferry (car/pedestrian/bus), and travel via A374 to village of Anthony and then B3247 to Tregantle, then turn right onto coast road heading towards Rame Head. This coast road heads in a East to West route from Rame Head rarely straying far from sea views.
