Description

On the islands of Loch Maree Islands National Nature Reserve potáplica malá and potáplica stredná nest. kršiak rybár, orliak morský, orol skalný, sokol sťahovavý, kaňa sivá, myšiak hôrny and krkavec čierny may be seen overhead. krivonos smrekový, woodpeckers, sluka hôrna, kolibiarik sykavý, muchárik čiernohlavý and brhlík obyčajný in the woods. Perhaps chochľač severský in winter. Pine marten are fairly common in the area and may visit the feeders in the car parks. Red deer, roe deer and red squirrels, possibly wild cat.

Access

There are several parking spots along the main road. The site is 60 miles west of Inverness and 105 miles north of Fort William. Boat trips available from the Maree Hotel.
