Description

Gronant has 200 pairs of breeding rybár malý and some rybár sivý and rybár riečny. Several wader species, sokol myšiar (pustovka), plamienka driemavá, turpan čierny, škovránok poľný and stehlík konôpka. On the 4 ha Big Pool reserve there are strnádka trstinová, trsteniarik bahenný, kôrovník dlhoprstý, trasochvost horský, muchár sivý, stehlík čížik and chriašteľ vodný. Sand lizards, natterjack toads, pyramid orchids, sea holly, sea purslane and other wildflowers can be found in the dunes.

Village is one mile east of Prestatyn on A458. Click on a P in the map to get directions to a parking. The area has 2 viewing platforms, a hide and limited wheelchair access.
