Description

The area around Errwood Reservoir is a good site for many upland woodland species such as muchárik čiernohlavý, žltochvost hôrny, ľabtuška hôrna and muchár sivý and the best time to visit is in spring when the birds are in song. kolibiarik sykavý is also present some years. kalužiačik malý, kulík riečný and kačička mandarínska can be found around the southern end of the reservoir itself and Snehuľa kapcavá and hvizdák veľký are common on the surrounding moors. vodnár potočný and trasochvost horský inhabit the stream to the south of the reservoir and several species of raptor can often be seen in flight over the valley.

Access

There is a fairly large car park in the south west corner of Errwood Reservior and from there you can take the paths and road to the south through the woods and along the riversdie path.
