Description
Das Naturschutzgebiet Frauenfeld ist wunderschön von der Umgebung her. Es hat diverse Habitate für verschiedenste Tiere. Es hat einen Fluss, Bäche, Kanäle, Mischwald naturbelassen, Auenwald, Sümpfe, Tümpel und Teiche. Es hat viele schöne Wege wo man immer wieder etwas entdeckt. Auch tagsüber kann man nebst den Vögeln immer Rehe sehen, Hasen, Eichhörnchen und manchmal Wildschweine, Biber oder Bisamratte. Je nach Saison sieht man immer wieder andere Vögel. Entweder sind sie auf dem Zug oder brüten im Gebiet.
Je nach Fitness kann man einen kurzen Rundweg laufen oder die Tour ausdehnen. Es gibt unzählige Möglichkeiten. Es eignet sich für Leute die nur gucken wollen, Fotografen oder einfach Leute, die gerne in der Natur sind.

Access
Man kann zu Fuss hinlaufen wenn man am Rande von Frauenfeld wohnt oder das Fahrrad nehmen. Mit dem Auto kann man auf einem der Parkplätze dort gratis parkieren. Für meine beschriebene Route nimmt man am besten P 6. Die Zeit ist limitiert auf 6 Stunden. Also man soll unbedingt die Parkscheibe hinterlegen.
Mit den OEV fährt man bis Bahnhof Frauenfeld und nimmt den Bus. Danach ist es aber doch noch eine Strecke zum laufen.

The area is adjacent to the Frauenfeld military base and is partly used by the military. One should pay attention to the board with the guidelines. You should also not forget to leave your parking disc in your car, as parking is only allowed for 6 hours. There is no restaurant or toilet in the area. The next opportunities are on the outskirts of town.
The route (4 km) shown is just an example of how to walk. There are countless possibilities, depending on personal fitness and how the time management is right. When the military exercises, the barriers are closed. If you just shoot you can still walk, you shoot further away. This does not disturb the birds. The path is a forest path, smaller paths can sometimes be a bit muddy after heavy rain.
