Description
The big uppside with Stavstensudde may not be the amount of waders but how close you get to the birds. From the shelter one can get a very good view.
During migration from mid april to early june, and late july to early october this is a nice site for watching a good variety of shorebirds. For example kamenár strakatý, pobrežník malý, pobrežník belavý, pobrežník hrdzavý, bojovník bahenný, brehárik ploskozobý, pobrežník sivý, brehár hrdzavý and kulík bledý. Also several pairs of rybár malý are breeding.
Rarities that have been seen here are kulík morský, Tibetan Sand Plover, kalužiak štíhly, kalužiak žltonohý and pobrežník škvrnitý.
In winter time islandic kalužiak červenonohý and northern kulík piesočný and sometimes pobrežník morský can be seen.

Access
If going by bus, take number 1 from Trelleborg train staion to Trelleborg Drivgarnet and walk. Unfortunately its a quite long walk but the last bit you can walk by the sea.
If going by car follow road E6 and turn S towards Fredshög and Stavstensudde.
