Description
The Lillfjärden lake is primarily known for its geese. bernikľa bielolíca, hus divá, and bernikľa veľká all breed. The lake also holds the entire swedish non-breeding population of hus malá. Other geese like hus bieločelá, Hus siatinná, hus krátkozobá can often be found. Some years hus tundrová and bernikľa tmavá are also found during migration periods.
The lakes rocky coast is also often home to waders like kalužiak tmavý, kalužiak červenonohý, kulík riečný (breeds), lastúrničiar strakatý (breeds), and bojovník bahenný. The lake holds large amounts of kačica divá and smaller amounts of other dabbling ducks. Even species which are rare in northern areas like kačica chripľavka, kačica lyžičiarka and kačica chrapačka. Smaller amounts of diving ducks can often be found. Wintering chochľač severský and smrečiar krivonosí are often found. Although the numbers vary widely.

Access
The lake lies directly north to the center of Hudiksvall. There are many places to park the car. Click on the P in the map to get directions. You can make a circular walk around the lake (2,5 km).
