Description
In and around Leonardsberg 233 bird species have been recorded. During the spring migration the area is an important resting ground for migrating geese like Hus siatinná, hus bieločelá and hus tundrová who sometimes rest in large amounts. The shallow lake also attracts large amounts of dabblings ducks. The coastal meadows also hold large amounts of waders especially during autumn.
