Description
Vielha is a mountain town at an altitude of 980 metres. Birds are used to people so birds can sometimes be seen very close. The route to be followed runs parallel to the River Nere, passing through a riverside forest. Among the birds you can spot along the way are vodnár potočný, myšiak hôrny, bradáň žltohlavý, sup bielohlavý, haja červená, hadiar krátkoprstý, orol skalný, ďateľ veľký and sýkorka hôrna.

Vielha is the capital of the Aran Valley, it can be reached by public transport (bus) from Barcelona, and/or Lérida, or by car from the N230, or through the Port de la Bonaigua. Good offer of hotels to spend a few days in the area.
