The observation area is located in the town of Puerto de Santiago, but if you walk up north, you come to a field where watching birds can be intresting.
You can do everything in this area. In the city you can spot birds like vrabec obojkový, kanárik divý and many more. If you go up north you come to fields and empty landscapes. Seawatching is also very worthwhile. If the conditions are good, you can spot up to 300 víchrovník plavý and with luck víchrovník malý and maybe even a víchrovník makaronézsky. On a good morning I saw 250 víchrovník plavý and 3 víchrovník malý. If you have the chance to go by boat, I would take it, because you can take good pictures and also have a chance to see dolphines. With much luck there is a chance of any storm petrel. Also Sokol hrdzavohlavý could be possilbe.
Puerto de Santiago is located on the northwestern coast of Tenerife. You can get there easy by bus, but also by car. Press P on the map for directions to a parking spot. The walking route is not too easy because it is quite hilly.
