From the picturesque Puerto de Carril, you can see the nearby Isla de Cortegada. Birds like rybár sivý and seagulls often rest on the wooden stakes from the dock. It is not uncommon to see čajka morská and čajka tmavá. The most frequent are čajka žltonohá and čajka smejivá. You can also see čajka trojprstá and čajka čiernohlavá. Also sula biela. The frequency of kormorán chochlatý and Alcidae like norec tenkozobý, alka vrúbkozobá or shearwaters makes the place a special place. The terrestrial birdlife is much less interesting, although it does add species to the watch list.
