Plans de Sió is a large steppe-type area, dominated by single-crop cereal farming, located in the Segarra region. It is a dry landscape with some shrubs or scrub. Steppe bird species, such as kaňa popolavá, drop malý and ležiak úhorový breed in the area, but can be hard to find. The more common birds include kuropta červená, sup bielohlavý, hadiar krátkoprstý, orol malý, haja červená, dudok chochlatý, strakoš prieložný, škovran stepný, sokol myšiar (pustovka) and strnádka lúčna. Sometimes orol iberský is observed.

Plans de Sió - Font de Queralt is located between Lleida and Manresa. You can enter the area through two entrances. Click on the P in the map fo directions.
