Description
Mirador de Vilaflor is a small viewpoint with a parking on the winding road to or from Vilaflor. The views are not the greatest on Tenerife, but sometimes pinka modrá can be observed very close on the parking strip, on the stone wall or just behind it. Also a good area for the local subspecies of ďateľ veľký and sýkorka modrokrídla.

The Mirador de Vilaflor is located on the road from Vilaflor to the Teide. If you come from the Teide you first pas Las Lajas, if you come from Vilaflor you first pas this mirador and then Las Lajas. To see the pinka modrá Las Lajas is the best place on Tenerife (see separate entry on Birdingplaces). But if you miss the pinka modrá there, the Mirador de Vilafloris a good point to look for it. There is a parking on the side of the road. Click on the P in the map for directions.
