Description
The Manzanares river is an ideal place to go birding without having to leave the city of Madrid. You can find an extensive range of bird species. From small birds to waders, birds of prey or waterfowl, in the middle of the city. Among the birds that you can observe in the area are cetia západná, žlna zelená, volavka popolavá, penica záhradná, kačica hvizdárka, stehlík obyčajný, bocian biely, kulík riečný, rybárik riečny and penica sivá.

The Manzanares river is easy accessible from Madrid through the Príncipe Pío interchange, where you can use the metro, trains or buses. Once you arrive at Príncipe Pío, it is already close to the riverbank.
