Description
Les Basses d'en Coll is an important wetland reserve with 191 species seen. Winter wildfowl including chochlačka bielooká, plameniak ružový, sultánka modrá, lyžičiar biely and chriašteľ vodný. Gulls including čajka žltonohá. Also volavka purpurová, trsteniarik veľký, ľabtuška vrchovská, orol jastrabovitý, jastrab veľký and sup bielohlavý. Víchrovník plavý (skup.) and víchrovník baleársky offshore. In the fields and trees slávik obyčajný, krakľa belasá, pipíška chochlatá and astrilda vlnkovaná.

Access
Reserve is a 8 km walk south from Estartit along the beach. By car it's 19 km. From the main road between Palafrugell to Torroella, head east at Mas Carles and look for viewing platform. There are campsites north and south. The beach gets busy so summer visits are not recommended. No buses nearby.
