Description
Labudovo Okno is the place where the agricultural plain of Deliblato meets the Danube river near the Romanian - Serbian border. Because of the building of Djerdap Dam, Danube has flooded surrounding Stevan’s Plains (Serbian: Stevanove ravnice) and made perfect habitat for gathering of birds. Here you can see all kinds of waterfowl species, mainly at winter time. chochlačka sivá, chochlačka vrkočatá, hlaholka severská, chochlačka morská and potápka ušatá are regular species that gather at winter time. There are also quite many geese that gather here, mainly hus divá and hus bieločelá.
During spring migration there are few species of gulls and terns, some other birds like dudok chochlatý, orliak morský, lyska čierna, kačica divá and kačica ostrochvostá. During fall migration there are many small birds migrating through here, species like Grey-headed Wagtail (thunbergi), sedmihlások hájový, trsteniarik malý, trsteniarik bahenný and muchár sivý. Also there are migrating raptors like kršiak rybár and Včelár lesný.

Labudovo okno is only accessible by car. Getting there on foot is hard and you need to know environment. Always stick to established tracks and respect wildlife!
