Description
Around Katunić you can see many species of birds. The road that gets you there is already very bird rich. Along the mountain path you can see orešnica perlavá, tesár čierny, žlna sivá, brhlík obyčajný, jariabok hôrny and many other birds. At the plateau you can see pŕhľaviar čiernohlavý, sokol myšiar (pustovka), sokol lastovičiar, chrapkáč poľný and some others. At the mountain top there are some rocky areas where you can see skaliarik sivý, kuropta horská, sokol bielopazúravý, sup bielohlavý, skaliar pestrý, ľabtuška červenohrdlá and hadiar krátkoprstý.

Access
You can park at the mountain lodge and then hike from there. Also there are some ways of getting to the plateau by car but for thaty a 4x4 terrain car is needed. Click on the P in the map to get directions to the mountain lodge.
