Description

Lake Zhizhitskoye is a big freshwater lake with 26 small islands located in Kunyinsky District of Pskov Oblast in Russia. The area of the lake is 51.3 square kilometres. Near Dolgiy island there is a big colony of kormorán veľký of appr. 250 birds. The lake is surrounded by wonderful pine forest where many other birds can be seen. The sand beaches are also good for swimming in summer, but you need a boat. Among the birds you can see here are kormorán veľký, beluša veľká, čajka malá, čorík čierny, rybár riečny, labuť veľká, lyska čierna, potápka chochlatá and kalužiačik malý.
