Due to the presence of shallow pools, the Vadu area is popular with waders such as brehárik ploskozobý, šišila bocianovítá, pobrežník sivý, pobrežník malý, kulík morský and lyskonoh úzkozobý. In spring and autumn it is a good place for migratory birds. But also in summer many marsh birds such as volavka purpurová, ibisovec hnedý, čorík bahenný, chavkoš nočný, kaňa močiarna, chriašť malý and trsteniarik roľný are breeding in this area.
