Description

This half open area north of the village of Satu Mare used to be a forest clearing. In the present the vegetation is already quite tall. It is a mating territory for lelek lesný and ocassionaly for sluka hôrna.

Arrive during daytime to discover the other species such as sýkorka uhliarka, ľabtuška hôrna and krivonos smrekový.

Access

Acces by car from the village of Satu Mare in Harghita county. Last road on the left coming from Odorheiu Secuiesc or first road to the right coming from Miercurea Ciuc. Follow the narrow winding road until the asphalt dissapears then take a left turn into the woods on a gravel road. After about 2.5 km you shall reach the clearing. No designated parking, only the logging storage spots. Explore by foot. Beware, it is brown bear country. Allow yourself about 1 hour to explore the surroundings.
