Big old park in Warsaw with amazing birds inside. A lot of woodpeckers, tit's and other songbirds nest here. kačička mandarínska are common.

Description

Łazienki Park is spacious and full of life. Best to visit in the morning when people are not there yet. Note that it's open from 6 am. Two pairs of sova lesná can be heard at night. If you ask a local birder they will be happy to show you where they spend their day. kačička mandarínska, potápač veľký and kačica divá nest in the park. A pair of krkavec čierny breed here every year as well.

The park is known for the many woodpecker species that can be seen here. It's difficult not to see žlna zelená, ďateľ veľký and ďateľ prostredný on your visit. If you have a bit more luck you might see ďateľ malý, tesár čierny or a ďateľ hnedkavý. Various songbirds breed here, brhlík obyčajný is very common. In May and June you might spot a muchárik čiernohlavý or muchár sivý in the part of the park where horses used to be held.

Access

Easy accessible from Warsaw. Free access. Difficult to find a parking spot sometimes. The best spot is probably near Belvedere restaurant. Park is open from 6am to 10pm. Best to explore the park on foot and take your time. The walking route shown on the map is about 4 km.
