You can find a svrčiak slávikovitý here resounding in the extensive reed beds. As well as listen to the singing of a strnádka záhradná and a slávik obyčajný on the edge of the forest. If you are lucky, you may even notice an myšiarka ušatá flying silently over the local fields. The forest itself also hides many interesting species such as kôrovník dlhoprstý, kolibiarik sykavý and králik ohnivohlavý.
If you are here in autumn, you can expect waders, which include kalužiak močiarny, kalužiak sivý and kalužiačik malý. The river itself also has a lot to offer, potápač veľký and numerous labuť veľká breed here. In the morning, the loud cry of the žeriav popolavý resounds here, as it brings out its nests here. Access
Dolina Prosny is located directly northwest of the town of Kalisz. The easiest way is to park in one of the nearby parking lots or take public transport (Bażancia pętla) where city buses run. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. It's quite a large area. To get an idea of the distances: The walk from the parking to the observation tower is about 3 km one way.
