Bugaj Reservoir is a great place during spring and summer time. There is a breeding colony of rybár riečny, čorík čierny and čajka smejivá. Two or three pairs of kaňa močiarna also breed there. It is also a breeding place for labuť veľká, potápka malá, bučiak veľký, fúzatka trstinová, sliepočka vodná and potápka chochlatá.
