Description
In summer, Frognerparken is a good spot for the resident, urban species, like trasochvost biely , pinka obyčajná , stehlík obyčajný and drozd čierny. In addition, the ponds will hold various ducks and maybe also sliepočka vodná, kalužiačik malý and trasochvost horský. labuť veľká breeds here.
In winter, the ponds usually have open water, which is good for wintering ducks. kačica divá are of course abundant, while hlaholka severská and chochlačka vrkočatá are usual guests. kačica chrapka and kačica hvizdárka also regularly winter here. Always check for rarer species, especially in late fall and early spring. volavka popolavá is also a common sight. Gulls also frequent the park during the winter months, due to people feeding the ducks. Wintering čajka smejivá and čajka sivá can be found, as well as rarer species. Both čajka bledá and čajka bielokrídla have been reported from the park, and one čajka obrúčkozobá was found here in the spring of 2001.
Follow Frognerelva south west to Skøyen and look for vodnár potočný during winter.

Access
Frognerparken is easily accessible by bus, tram and subway. Majorstuen is the closest hub, a mere five minute walk away. If you exit to the south west towards Skøyen, you will find both train, tram and bus to take you back to Oslo. Driving is not recommended, as parking may be difficult and expensive.
