The Yperenplas (also called Wilpse Plas) is an easy accessible birding place near the city of Deventer. It offers a wide view on the typical IJssel valley, with a good chance of special species on the lake and in the surroundings. Among the birds you can see here are hus divá, kršiak rybár, skaliarik sivý, čajka sivá, kačica lyžičiarka, kačica chripľavka, kačica hvizdárka, lyžičiar biely, čajka smejivá, bernikľa bielolíca and sokol myšiar (pustovka). Rarities that have been seen here are chochlačka bielooká, potáplica malá and šišila bocianovítá.
